There
was a time when most hysterectomies (removal of the womb)
needed to be done by a large cut in the tummy. The laparoscopic
or ‘microsurgery’ route is an acceptable alternative
in many cases. The advantages include – less blood loss,
less infection rate, shorter hospital stay (2 days), early
recovery (7days), early return to daily activities (14 days).
Laparoscopic Hysterectomy is gradually being accepted all
over the world. We have performed over 300 hysterectomies
